A liberal female from San Francisco wrote a lot of letters to the U.S. government, complaining about the treatment of captive insurgents (terrorists) being held in GITMO.   She demanded a response to her letter.

She received back the following reply:

Dear Concerned Citizen,

Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profound concern of treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists captured by American Forces, who were subsequently transferred to the GITMO.

Our administration takes these matters seriously, and your opinions were heard loud and clear here at the Pentagon. You will be pleased to learn, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, we are creating a new department here at the Defense Department to be called ‘Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers’ program, or L.A.R.K. for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided, on a trial basis, to divert several terrorists and place them in homes of concerned citizens such as yourself, around the country, under those citizens personal care. Your personal detainee has been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence in San Francisco next Monday.
Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud is your detainee, and is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. You will be pleased to know that we will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with your recommendations.

Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his ‘attitudinal problem’ will help him overcome those character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counselling and home schooling, however, we strongly recommend that you hire some assistant caretakers.

Please advise any Jewish friends, neighbor’s or relatives about your house guest, as he might get agitated or even violent, but we are sure you can reason with him.  He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless in your opinion, this might offend him.  Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers.  We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills either in your home or wherever you choose to take him while helping him adjust to life in our country.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters except sexually, since he views females as a form of property, thereby having no rights, including refusal of his sexual demands.  This is a particularly sensitive subject for him.

You also should know that he has shown violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire.  I’m sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka over time. Just remember that it is all part of respecting his culture and religious beliefs’ as described in your letter.

 

You take good care of Ahmed… and remember that we will try to have a counsellor available to help you over any difficulties you encounter while Ahmed is adjusting to American culture.

Thanks again for your concern.  We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job and care for our fellow man.

Answer to Full Circle Poisons

In bold print and italics you will find my comments and opinion in response the this  incredibly misleading response from Full Circle Dairy

Full Circle Dairy is a family-owned dairy farm on approximately 1,600 acres in Lee. On this farm, several hundred head   (Several Thousand head of dairy cows. This is easily verified why misrepresent it?) of dairy cattle are fed, milked, and cared for on a round-the-clock basis. Naturally, with an operation such as this, a great deal of animal waste is produced every day. Managing this waste is a constant challenge. At Full Circle Dairy, much of this waste is ( sprayed under extreme pressure high into the air on the windiest of days at times coating the neighbor with raw sewage)  used as fertilizer for crops that are in turn used as a food source for the cattle. The way in which this is done must be monitored carefully in order to insure the environment is not adversely affected. According to Watts, everything at the dairy is carefully monitored.( Self monitoring, no outside oversight) This includes monitoring and testing in-house on a daily basis as well as sending water, fertilizer, and milk samples to outside laboratories for testing. Quarterly reports are sent to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The DEP also closely monitors the dairy’s auditing procedures. In addition to these reports and auditing, the DEP makes frequent ( These ” inspectors” are best buddies and may even share DNA) un-announced site visits to the dairy. According to Watts, Full Circle Dairy makes every effort to remain far below the regulatory thresholds established by the DEP.  ( I have to wonder if the department of AG invests their pension funds in these industries?)“[We] manage what we do because it’s the right thing to do,” said Watts. “[We] go to great lengths to be good stewards of the land, the community, and the 60-plus people who work here.”

At Full Circle Dairy, much of the food that is fed to the cows is grown( relying on pesticides and herbicides, some of which are either known carcinogens or highly suspected of being carcinogenic) on the dairy farm. In order to make the best use of the land, feed crops are rotated throughout the year. In the spring, corn is planted and harvested in the summer. Sorghum is planted in the summer and harvested in the fall. Rye grass is then planted in the fall and harvested in the spring. Peanuts are occasionally grown in order to replenish the soil with needed nitrogen. The peanuts are not used as feed for the cows but are sold. These crops are fertilized with a carefully monitored balance of fertilizer from the cows ( tons and tons of raw cow waste sprayed out high into the air, left to rot on top of the soil) and some supplemental commercial fertilizer. The crops that are grown are also carefully monitored.

When asked about antibiotics, Watts explained that on occasion cows do get sick and require medications that may include antibiotics. ( I highly doubt the truth of this statement . It is common Dairy practice to use antibiotics and hormones on a regular basis to induce high levels of milk production) (Please watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYpafipJyDE  and many many other You Tube videos covering the dangers of drinking Milk) Whenever this occurs, the sick cows are isolated from the rest of the herd while they are being treated. After the medicine regimen is completed, the milk is tested. That cow is not allowed to be milked for ( Please watch Dr. Harmon explain how dangerous Milk is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O-ehIkwGME  )  public consumption until all traces of the antibiotic are cleared from the milk. “But the best way to handle that is to make sure the cows don’t get sick. We go to a lot of effort to make sure our cows are healthy and happy,” said Watts.

Watts also goes to great measures to be a good neighbor. If local neighbors are having an outside event, Watts said they make every attempt to not apply water and fertilizer in a way that may disturb the neighbors with an unpleasant smell. For this reason, Watts has established a 550-foot buffer  ( all the while the foul stench pays no attention to the buffer and spreads for up to one mile around and stays for days after each spray. Making impossible for the neighbors so much as  to run to their cars with out getting headaches, digestive problems)between any of the crops grown at the dairy and any neighboring residents. Watts is also in the process of planting trees ( as for my area of the buffer zone witch includes the old water pond road Mr. Watts has planted about six half dead 24 inch tall trees over some 100 feet lineal feet . The expense and effort expended by Watts makes to me that he has no regard for my Health or the health of the neighbors) of area to further act as a wind buffer between the dairy farm and neighboring residents. “We make every effort we can to be sensitive to our neighbors,” said Watts.( Not until we, in mass complained to ever agency possible did he even bother to take note . Mr Watts has never returned a call from myself or my wife.)

( I am quite certain that all of the neighbors of this stench production facility will agree with me fully that Mr. Watts and his three to four thousand cows have succeeded in destroying our lives and properties. We are being denied the most basic property owner rights. The free use and enjoyment of our private property has been impossible since the bombardment of Cow excrement high into our breathing air)

 It has been 48 years since 1968 and this just keeps going on and on.

1. In 1968, Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male.

2. In 1972, at the Munich Olympics, Israeli athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim males.

3. In 1972, a Pan Am 747 was hijacked and eventually diverted to Cairo where a fuse was lit on final approach. Shortly after landing it was blown up by Muslim males.

4. In 1973, a Pan Am 707 was destroyed in Rome, with 33 people killed, when it was attacked with grenades by Muslim males.

5. In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim males.

6. During the 1980’s a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim males.

7. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim males.

8. In 1985, the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70-year old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim males.

9. In 1985, TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim males.

10. In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim males.

11. In 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim males.

12. In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim males.

13. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the passengers.  Thousands of people were killed by 19 Muslim males.

14. In 2002, the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim males.

15. In 2002, reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded by – you guessed it – a Muslim male.  (Plus two other American journalists who were subsequently beheaded).

16. In 2013, the Boston Marathon Bombing resulted in 4 Innocent people, (including a child) being killed and 264 people injured by Muslim males.

The list of additional atrocities executed by Muslim males (and females) is almost endless now, but the point has been made…..there’s no irony in the fact that no terrorist attacks were made by Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, or Christians that murdered the thousands of innocent victims.

No Mr. Obama, I really don’t see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?  So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people.

So, ask yourself “Just how stupid are we???”

Absolutely No Profiling!  TheTSA must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the Obama’s security detail, 85-year-old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former South

Dakota Governor Joe Foss, BUT……..leave Muslim Males alone lest we be guilty of profiling.

Ask yourself, “Just how stupid are we?”   Have the American people completely lost their minds or just their Power of Reason?

Today, with the willing assistance of the United Nations, every state in America is being “seeded” by new Muslim males from Syria, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Malaysia, several countries in the African continent, and wherever they can be found – all in name of “refugee resettlement”.  This might be the only time in world history when a country has IMPORTED a military force who are dedicated to its overthrow!

The definition of insanity is “doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.”

Let ‘s send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Allreds and other stupid attorneys, along with Federal Justices, that want to thwart common sense, feel ashamed of themselves — if they have any such sense.

Each opportunity that you have to send this to a friend or media outlet… Do It!

Distillers are a huge waste of time , money, and energy.

After thirty years of treating water, with a broad spectrum of methods here is my opinion!

Water has many things in it!

  Sediment; anyting that floats in or on water, has not mixed with the water. Can be removed (filtered) simply with a physical screen or mesh

 Sparkling water is water that has been filtered with a five micron filter, or contains no sediment in it larger than five micron in size.

Sparkling may water still contain minerals, salts, chemicals, virus, bacteria, cysts, and other micro biological life.

 Water filtered to .3 micron is considered safe from bacteria, cysts, and other biological threats.

  Chemicals; G.A.C. granular activated carbon adsorbs V.O.C. ‘s . Not misspelled not absorb / adsorbs.

Volatile Organic compounds are most commonly called chemicals. GAC / Carbon works really well on chemicals. However those small faucet mount filters need to be run very, very slowly to work at all. If you just flip open the faucet you overwhelm the tiny filter.

 You need lots of time or lots of GAC/ carbon to make an effective chemical filter.

 Heavy metals, Salts, minerals, examples Lead , cooper, aluminum cannot be filtered from water with sediment filters or GAC filters.

 The remove heavy metals you need to process the water with Reverse osmosis, distillation, or de-ionization.

 That is it, no other methods currently available will remove a broad spectrum of heavy metals, salts.

 Distillation the least Earth friendly , most expensive process normally produces water @ .5 TDS. One half of one part per million of total dissolved solids.

 De-Ionization removes all of the tds. So it is rated at 0.00 ppm of tds. The purest state of water.

 Reverse osmosis membranes are normally considered to remove 96-98% of the heavy metals, salts, very simply , cheaply, extremely environmentally friendly and extremely cheap .

 I would never recommend a Distiller. Consider all of the maintenance, initial cost, production costs and cleaning required.

 Reverse osmosis systems have low entry cost, next to no maintainace, work on water pressure, and  you have water on tap anytime you want it at the RO system faucet.

  People go one about the water reverse osmosis wastes. Yes an RO system processes only about one third of the water that enters the system. The other two thirds clean the system and run the contaminates down the drain.

                                  Water recycles 100 % and costs next to nothing.

  The production of electricity requires lots of water, and lots of energy. Distillers with their huge electrical appetite suck up lots of resources producing just one gallon of water.

  The entry cost of a distiller is very high, distillers need constant cleaning and the cost of processing water is very high, very high when compared to almost any other treatment process.

   Now, do you need fully purified water to drink and cook. Consider this if you remove (96% -98%)  of the heavy metals , (99.99%) all of the chemicals, and (99.99%) of all of the biological threats in your water are you safe?  Are you safe?

  Added up, water with next to no chemicals, no bacteria, virus,cysts and next to no heavy metals easily, cheaply. Reverse osmosis Eco friendly,  budget freindly, on tap when ever you want it. Reverse osmosis beats the pants off of making distilled water.

 For kicks try running your distiller on RO water , it will save you  from  cleaning the distiller.

Remember this when you hear about Seawater being turned into drinking water, the process used is Reverse Osmosis.

Air to air Solar heat exchanger ! “free heat”

Solar heat,

 I have watched numerous you tube videos on air exchange Solar collectors.

I have one comment not enough air exchange happening. 

When solar heating a pool, the goal is for a two degree rise in water temperature per pass.

  Why ? To allow for simple, cost effective panels with little or no re radiation loss.

 Most all of these videos insist on high temperature insulation and show high heat levels.

 IMO and in my solar experience you should not need expensive high temperature insulation.. 

 The reason is simple, when you are transferring the heat from the collector efficiently  the collector does not get hot. I see no reason for the collector to ever rise above 90 degrees F.

   Glazing and insulation in colder climates will be required, for a properly constructed collector. UV protected materials are a  a must!

 In Summer,the same collector vented to the outside air will prevent heat collected by the panel from entering the building. 

 Size the fan correctly use an adequate solar panel to drive your fan and use your Solar device year round.

Conveniently Forgotten Facts. Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow black panther named Alex Rackley needed to die.  Rackley was  suspected of disloyalty.  Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once safely immobilized, his friends tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouring boiling water on him. When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member, Warren Kimbro took Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley’s body was later found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Connecticut.  Perhaps at this point you’re curious  as to what happened to these Black Panthers? In 1977, that’s only eight years later, only one of the killers was still in jail. The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a scholarship to Harvard and became good friends with none other than Al Gore.  He later became an assistant dean at an Eastern Connecticut State College. Isn’t that something!!! As a ’60s radical you can pump a bullet into someone’s head and a few years later, in the same state, you can become an assistant college dean! Only in America!!! Erica Huggins was the woman who served the Panthers by boiling the water for Mr. Rackley’s torture.  Some years later Ms. Huggins was elected to a California School Board. How in the world do you think these killers got off so easily? Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts of two people who came to the defense of the Panthers. These two people actually went so far as to shut down Yale University with demonstrations in defense of the accused Black Panthers during their trial. One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee.  Mr. Lee, or Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn’t a college dean.  He isn’t a member of a California School Board. He is now head of the United States Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, appointed by none other than Bill  Clinton. O.K., so who was the other Panther defender?                                                                                                                           The other Panther defender was, like Mr. Lee, a radical law student at Yale University at the time.  She is now known as The “smartest woman in the world.”  She is none other than the former Democratic senator from the State of New York —- our former First Lady, and the Secretary of State, the incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton. Pass this on! This deserves the widest possible press. Remember this when she runs for President!! And now, as Paul Harvey said; “You know the rest of the story”.

My Cistern drinking water

My St. Thomas Cistern and reverse osmosis system,

Way back, right after Hurricane Marilyn I lived on St Thomas USVI.

My home was the second highest in elevation, just off of Skyline Drive.

Needless to say getting water to my cistern was at the very least EXPENSIVE!

 Now I love the idea of catching rain water and living with it, however if you have ever seen the interior of a cistern it can make you skeptical. Add to that the condition of the roof from which the rain was collected and you become downright skeptical.

My adult life was spent in the promotion of reverse osmosis water treatment technology so resolving that issue was simple. However most islanders were tossing away the concentrate stream from the reverse osmosis unit.

I did not, I simply returned the concentrate stream to the cistern.

What ? Why?

Well the amount of water I purified each day for drinking was only a very small fraction of the cistern . The concentrate stream was an even smaller fraction of that.

So the overall impact on the quality of the water in the cistern was negiable.

Outcome!  Simply very pure water for drinking, cooking, batteries, and no wasted water.

What you need, what you want is to drink is reverse osmosis purified water. Water  you made at home with a high quality reverse osmosis system. I have been explaining that to people since 1980. Reverse Osmosis is still the number one way to make high quality drinking water at home.

Make sure the system you purchase has a good quality, large carbon filter in front of the membrane.

Want to live off grid or feel better about your water quality? Seek out a good five stage reverse osmosis system.

Recently we paid  for an ATV from this chinese company   http://highper.en.alibaba.com  they indicated that they were experienced in importing to the USA. We advised their agent Alice that proper documentation was required prior to the cargo leaving their port. Alice failed to file the required paperwork and Customs refused to let the shipment go.

The faiure to file the correct documentation had Customs officials asking for a $ 10,000.00 one year bond . The bond might be returned or it might be subject to levy to pay the fine.

The shipment never made it into our hands and now http://highper.en.alibaba.com/ refuses to refund ourr payment or ship a replacment item

Why spend more for Pure Sine wave inverters?

Why spend the extra money on pure sine wave inverters?

 Not that long ago, lots of handy devices were simply motors attached to various things.

Small air conditioners are a perfect example, a motor, compressor, some coils and a few manually operated controls. Most any current close to AC sine wave current would operate such a simple device .

 Inverters do not have to be very special to drive motors and other non electronic devices.

 Problem is today your little rom size AC is electronic. Every operation of even the cheapest unit is electronic.

Electronic devices work on the exact current wave form as well as the voltage. Dirty current or a choppy sine wave can and will confuse your electronic device.

 So there you have it even your battery operated drill is dependant on a electronic charger. You can’t get away from it electronic control of everyday devices is ubiquitous.

 Unless you want to risk damaging just about everything in your off grid cabin, your RV, your boat, you had better pony up the extra dollars and get a true SINE WAVE inverter.
